Google Expanded Text Ads The New Change in AdWords World
Google Ad word has evolved into Google’s main source of revenue .Google Performance Summit – San Francisco was the platform chosen to announce the upcoming change to Adwords, making the news public about Expanded Text Ad Preview Tool.

Expanded text ad is an exciting 50 percent of more ad text space, which helps highlight products and services before users click on the Ad. Allowing a better user experience, especially to Mobile and Tab users. Expanded text ads are specially designed to cater to the mobile world. The all new Extended Text Ad is set to be launched on October 26, 2016.

What makes Expanded Text Ads different from standard Ad word?

More Prominent Headline:

Expanded text ads will have two headlines, 30 characters each and will be placed next to each other separated by a high fin. Whereas traditionally standard text ads have a character limit of 25 for the heading. Hence expanded text ads will have a consolidated description of 80 characters, instead of the current two descriptions of 35 characters each.

Mobile Optimized:

Expanded text ads will be mobile optimized .Which now means that no extra effort will separately be required to select mobile device setting while creating an Ad, whereas a standard text ad required the setting to be made manually.

Preview Available:

The new preview tool has separate views for both Mobile and Desktop formats. They can be viewed at the right of the screen while generating an Ad.

Automatic URL Domain extraction:

With expanded text ads it will no longer be required to enter a display URL domain that matches your final URL domain. Instead, Ad Words will take the domain from the final URL and show it as the Ad’s URL The display URL domain will now be based on the final URL domain; it will no longer be required to enter a URL domain while creating a new ad.

Paths to be chosen:

Post extracting the URL domain automatically, the expanded AdWords tool will give a choice to combine two path fields. Path field will be added to the URL after the main domain. This also rules out possibility of mismatch between final and landing pages URL’s.

Using Adwords Editor:

Using the Adwords editor will enable editing expanded text ad in bulk. Adwords Editor supports expanded text ads in Version 11.5.

Improved CTR:

More text means greater visibility. Early reports indicate that Expanded Text Ads are seeing CTR increase by as much as 20 percent.
With this latest stir in the AD words World, the new character limit can be made use of simply by modifying standard ads, not rewriting them from scratch. Making it more fruitful for the advertisers.
